Key points
- Two surfaces, two cookie sets.
www.intellicoach.com(our marketing site, on systeme.io) andlegacy.intellicoach.com(our member area, on WordPress) set different cookies. - What we use cookies for. Keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and measuring how the site is used. We do not use cookies for advertising.
- You are in control. A consent banner is being added to the site so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies category by category. Until then, you can clear cookies via your browser settings (links below).
- No tracking pixels for ads. We do not run Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar advertising trackers.
- Where the data goes. Browsing analytics flows to Google Analytics 4. Member-area session cookies stay on our hosting.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some cookies live only as long as the browser tab is open (session cookies); others persist for days or years (persistent cookies). Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, web beacons) are covered by this policy too.
Cookie categories
We group cookies into four categories. The boundary that matters legally is between strictly necessary (no consent required) and everything else (consent required under the EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR, and Singapore PDPA where the cookie processes personal data).
| Category | What it does | Consent required |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Lets the site work: keeps you signed in, remembers what you put in a form between page loads, secures the login flow | No |
| Functional / preferences | Remembers your preferences (e.g., dismissed banners, video player settings) | Yes |
| Analytics | Measures aggregate site usage so we can improve it | Yes |
| Marketing | We do not currently set marketing cookies | n/a |
Cookies set by www.intellicoach.com (the marketing site)
| Name | Set by | Type | Expiry | Category | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics 4 | Persistent | 2 years | Analytics | Pseudonymous visitor identifier |
_ga_P0VSM0PKYR |
Google Analytics 4 (property G-P0VSM0PKYR) |
Persistent | 2 years | Analytics | Session state for the active property |
_ga_S9G6SR13LY |
Google Analytics 4 (legacy property reference) | Persistent | 2 years | Analytics | Session state, may be from a prior configuration; we are reviewing whether this property is still in use |
_gcl_au |
Google Tag Manager | Persistent | 90 days | Analytics | Conversion linker for Google services |
In addition, the systeme.io page builder may temporarily store the values you type into a form (typically first_name, email) in your browser's session storage so those fields stay populated as you navigate between pages of a funnel. This data is cleared when you close the browser.
Cookies set by legacy.intellicoach.com (the member area)
The member area is gated by login. The first time you load the login page, only a wordpress_test_cookie is set so the site can confirm your browser accepts cookies.
After you sign in, WordPress and the active plugins set strictly-necessary session cookies, including:
wordpress_logged_in_<hash>: keeps you signed in across pages.wp-settings-<id>,wp-settings-time-<id>: remembers your admin preferences.- Plugin-specific session cookies for the forum (wpForo), membership (WishList Member), course progress (WP Courseware), persistent-login extender (wp-persistent-login), two-factor authentication (WP-2FA), and login redirect (loginwp-pro).
These cookies are necessary to deliver the member service you signed up for and do not require consent.
Other "similar technologies" we use
- Embedded testimonial widgets on
www.intellicoach.comfrom Endorsal load assets fromcdn.endorsal.io. Endorsal may read your IP for view-attribution analytics. - Embedded podcast subscribe button for "The Coaching Leader Podcast" loads an iframe from
cdn.podlove.org. Loading the iframe exposes your IP to Podlove. The button does not collect data when clicked. - Embedded video in member-area lessons (smartvideo, smartquizbuilder) may load video from a content-delivery service. We are completing the audit of which CDN is used and will update this list.
How to manage cookies
Site-level controls
A consent banner is being added to www.intellicoach.com and legacy.intellicoach.com that will let you accept or reject analytics and functional cookies category-by-category, and change your mind later via a "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Until that ships, the only way to refuse non-essential cookies is at the browser level.
Browser-level controls
You can block or delete cookies in any modern browser:
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/mac
- Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Blocking or deleting strictly-necessary cookies will break the member area (you will not stay signed in).
Changes to this policy
When the cookies the site sets change, we will update this policy and the Last updated date at the top.
