6. Coaching engagements and the ICF Code of Ethics
Maik Frank Schroer, the principal coach behind IntelliCoach, holds the ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential, renewed in December 2025. Coaching engagements with Maik or with anyone Maik supervises are conducted under the ICF Code of Ethics (https://coachingfederation.org/ethics/code-of-ethics).
In particular:
- Confidentiality. What you discuss in a coaching session stays between you and your coach, except where required by law (court order, mandatory reporting of harm) or where you have given specific written permission.
- Recordings. Coaching sessions are not recorded by default. If a session is to be recorded (for example for ICF certification observation), we will ask for your written consent first and tell you who will have access to the recording.
- Group sessions. In team or group coaching, all participants are expected to keep what others share confidential. We make this explicit at the start of each group programme.
- Withdrawal. You can end a coaching engagement at any time. Refund and notice terms are set out in the specific coaching contract you sign with us.
These engagement-level commitments sit on top of these site terms; where the two conflict, the engagement contract you signed prevails.
